71th edition, July 2 - August 30 2022
Ravello Festival restarts from Richard Wagner and, once again, affirms its original vocation with an edition that will bring back to the stage of the Belvedere of Villa Rufolo, in addition to the traditional concert dedicated to him, the complete performance of an opera 26 years after that memorable Parsifal directed by Gergiev with Placido Domingo.
The musical offer of this 71st edition directed by Alessio Vlad will therefore revolve entirely around the figure who made the "City of Music" Festival famous throughout the world with the presence of conductors, soloists and orchestras, mostly present for the first time in Ravello with productions designed specifically for the Festival or which in any case will see their Italian debut at the Festival.
The Ravello Festival 2023, organized by the Ravello Foundation and supported by the Campania Region, will open on July 2 and close on August 30.
24 appointments that make up the program: 9 symphonic concerts, 4 jazz concerts, a "Chopin Marathon" which in 10 stages, entrusted to nine Italian pianists of different generations and backgrounds, will present practically all of his production for solo piano and a special event final, tribute to Frank Sinatra 25 years after his death.
