Description

Amalfi Semiconductor is looking for a Senior Test Engineer to join our Operations Team.  In this role you will be responsible for developing Test hardware and software in support of high volume Manufacturing, product characterization, and qualification of complex RFIC components for cellular telecommunciation applications.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Test platform selection for components with combinations of RF, analog, and digital testing requirements
• Design and define the RF/microwave option configuration for the tester
• Probe card and final test board hardware development
• Write the software on Credence ASL3000RF (or similar) tester to perform all required RF/microwave, analog, and digital measurements, as well as the measurements required by the applicable cellular telephony system specifications
• Work with Test engineering abroad on a smooth transition of test methodology
• Work with subcontractors to design the test interface unit, including the design of the RF section
• Support Product engineering in performing experiments and simulations based on test results to identify product deficiencies and potential problems
• Perform correlation of RF test results between bench and tester, among testers
• Provide input into the Design For Test (DFT) or Design For Manufacturing (DFM) process

Specific Qualifications Include:

• BSEE.  MSEE or PhD preferred
• A minimum of 5 years direct relevant experience in RF and microwave and techniques of RFIC components for digital telecommunication applications
• Experience in the design of microwave printed-circuit boards (PCB)
• Solid knowledge of test procedures for RF components
• Experience with Credence ASL3000 system test program development (preferred)
• Experience in test program transfer to Asia, correlation testing, and high volume testing
• Familiarity with mobile handset standards and specifications a plus
• Excellent communication skills and demonstrated success in meeting deadlines
• A self-starter and team-player, with demonstrated success in a small company environment
